Prosthodontics is a branch of dentistry dealing with the replacement of lost teeth and improving the function and appearance of natural teeth. Prosthodontics is divided into fixed and removable prosthodontics.
A well-equipped laboratory is a part of our dental clinic, in which all branches of prosthodontics are carried out. Our technicians are in constant contact with doctors, which enables us to do the job quickly and more successfully, leading to high-quality work.
Fixed prosthetics involves prosthetic works that are fixed or firmly secured on teeth or implants. They are permanently attached and cannot be removed. The following is included in fixed prosthetics: crowns, veneers, inlay, onlay and bridges.
Crowns are prosthetic works on natural trimmed teeth or implants. They apply only to an individual tooth. In the Dentex Dental Centre, we make:
Veneers are prosthetic replacements usually made of zirconia-ceramics or glass-ceramics in the area of the front teeth. They only cover the front surface of the tooth and therefore it is not necessary to trim the entire tooth.
Bridges are prosthetic replacements for trimmed teeth on at least two carriers or on implants. They contain at least 3 members or more.
Prosthetic replacements made in the laboratory based on a dental impression taken in the mouth. They can be compared with the usual composite fillings done in the dentist's office. They are most often made of zirconia-ceramics.
Removable prosthetics involve prosthetic works that are not fixed or firmly placed in the jaw and can be removed if necessary. It is an alternative solution if fixed prosthetic replacements are not possible.
Removable prosthetics can be partial, complete or Wiron dentures.
Fixed and mobile prosthetic works require regular check-ups and perfect oral hygiene.
